BMW unveiled the new 2 Series at the beginning of the month, and it didn’t take too long for the M2 to partially leak online. Much like the 3 Series Sedan has a different grille design compared to the M3, it would appear BMW will be going down the same road to create a visual distinction between the 2 Series Coupe and the range-topping model.

Drag Races
The Mach 1, unlike the Mach-E, uses a 5.0 liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine that’s good for about 480 horsepower.On the other side of the drag strip you’ll find a BMW M4 Competition. This one is a much more familiar car on this website. It uses a much smaller engine, a 3.0 liter straight-six to be more precise, and yet has more power. That’s right, the BMW has 503 horsepower at its disposal.

In terms of power, the two are pretty evenly matched. The BMW has the edge by 10 horsepower and some 50 lb-ft of torque, since it has a bigger engine under the hood. However, the BMW is also the heavier car here, by some 62 lbs.

Launched late last year, the drop top version of the second generation 4 Series comes with a lot of controversy in its tiny boot. As if the front-end and its huge grilles wasn’t enough, the new drop top also comes with a huge change at the back, where the folding top is no longer made of metal.

Video: All You Need To Know About The New BMW IX3
It’s quite obvious that BMW has to focus more on electric models moving forward. As you might’ve heard, the iX3 got a mild facelift earlier this month, to keep it in tune with its more conventional brothers, the BMW X3 and X4. Just like them, the iX3 got a new face, with a new bumper, new headlights and slightly different kidney grilles, as well as a similar change done to the rear end.
G87 BMW M2 Will Be Rear-Wheel Drive
The new G87 BMW M2 will be built on a modified version of the same CLAR architecture as the current M3 and M4. However, that’s not actually going to happen. The G87 M2 will keep the manual alive, despite everything else seemingly going auto-only today.
Is BMW planning some new flagship performance models, or is it just a legal formality? BMW could be planning to expand its M performance line-up, following two trademark filings uncovered in the past week. BMW appears to have reserved both M7 and M9 badges in the Philippines, according to CarBuzz, with the brand potentially looking to expand its BMW M range.
