BMW X5 M Competition — Worth Buying Over the M50i?
With an M badge, you expect fire and brimstone; a hard-edged performance accompanied by a rock-n-roll soundtrack. Underneath that aggressive hood lies a 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. When connected to its ZF-sourced eight-speed auto and M-tuned xDrive all-wheel drive, the BMW X5 M Competition is capable of 0-60 mph in the low three-second range. The X5 M could outrun a Ferrari 458 Italia to 60 mph, a fact that almost makes me uncomfortable.
VIDEO: This 2021 BMW M5 Competition Hits 7th Gear at 183 MPH Before Surging to 192 MPH
In the video we can check out the M5 Competition first shift from 6th to 7th gear at around 295 kph (over 183 mph) before reaching a maximum of 310 kph (around 192 mph). That’s actually a bit more than even BMW advertises for the M5 Competition with the M Driver package option, which officially raises the top speed bar to “just” 305 kph (189 mph).
VIDEO: Joe Achilles Checks Out the BMW M2 CS
Achilles drives an M2 Comp every day, so he has a great point of reference for how much better the M2 CS is. One area in which the more expensive CS model is much improved is its ride. Thanks to brilliantly calibrated adaptive dampers, the BMW M2 CS rides far better than the M2 Competition, despite being more planted and more capable. The Summary of the test is brilliant Despite owning the M2 Competition, Achilles feels that the M2 CS is worth the extra money.
VIDEO: BMW iX3 Tested by Carwow — Model Y Competitor?
In the newest video, Watson from Carwow criticizes the blue touches of its exterior, claiming that they seem a bit shout and unnecessary. But what’s the iX3 actually like to drive? Turns out, it’s surprisingly sporty. Thanks to its rear-wheel drive layout, low center of gravity and great chassis, the BMW iX3 actually isn’t bad to drive at all. In fact, it’s quite fun. However, it is relatively slow, with 0-60 mph taking about six seconds.

VIDEO: Can a Tuned BMW X3 M Take Down a Mercedes-AMG GT R?
In this video, we get to see a tuned BMW X3 M Competition take on a stock AMG GT R. While that’s not entirely fair that one car is tuned and the other isn’t, the AMG GT R is still far more expensive than a tuned X3 M. According to this video, the X3 M uses a tune and a down pipe and makes somewhere around 640 wheel-horsepower. Is that enough to take down the lighter AMG GT R with its 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 and 577 horsepower?

G20/G21 3 Series is still the top seller for BMW in Germany
BMW’s 3 Series G20 sedan and G21 Touring remain the bread and butter for the Bavarians in Germany. According to the latest registration report, BMW sold 5,331 units of the 3 Series in November 2020, while also extending the lead over the Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
